No. 14 seed Kentucky and No. 11 seed Florida are squaring off in a first-round SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament game on Wednesday afternoon, and things are getting heated.

Tatyana Wyche of Florida was seemingly the instigator, chucking the basketball at a Kentucky player after a basket.

That led to Wyche approaching the Wildcats’ bench, where more fighting unfolded before things were settled down:

After a 20-minute delay to sort things out, a total of 4 players on each team were ejected, most for leaving the bench:

Kentucky took a 22-21 lead into halftime after the scrum.

What does this mean moving forward?

Whatever team advances to face No. 6 seed Alabama on Thursday might be without some key players. We’ll see how the SEC wants to play this situation and what suspensions could be coming, but this isn’t a good scenario for either side at this point in the postseason when a loss means you’re done.
