Jerry Stackhouse continues to add to Vanderbilt’s best season of SEC play under his guidance, adding a 10th win in league play Wednesday night. That is the most by the Commodores since the 2016-17 season.

This win was a particularly special one for Stackhouse’s program. After losing Liam Robbins early in the game, Jordan Wright rallied the team with 23 points off the bench, including a game-winner in the 68-66 victory.

Stackhouse noted afterward the magnitude of beating “the king at his house” with John Calipari getting the most of his Kentucky squad in recent games.

Stackhouse also called it “a great moment” for the Vanderbilt program and discussed being emotional thinking about Jordan Wright’s game-winner.

Vanderbilt will move on to face Mississippi State in a regular-season finale before heading to the SEC Tournament.
