No. 13 Ole Miss was set to begin its series with No. 3 Florida on Friday, but Mother Nature had other plans. Hours before Friday’s scheduled first pitch, Ole Miss announced that the opener has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The Gators and Rebels, meeting in Oxford for the first time since 2019, will now play a doubleheader on Saturday. The first game will be played at 1:30 p.m. CT/2:30 p.m. ET.

As far as ticketing is concerned, tickets for Friday will be honored for Game 2 on Saturday.

It’s the first home SEC series of the 2023 season for Ole Miss. The Rebels were swept by Vanderbilt in Nashville. The defending College World Series are 15-6 on the year so far.

Florida opened SEC play with a 2-1 series win at home over Alabama. The Gators are 19-4 entering this weekend’s series.

All 3 games of the series are set to be streamed on SEC Network+.
