Former Georgia kicker Jack Podlesny was quickly scooped up at the conclusion of the 2023 NFL Draft. Podlesny has signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent.

Podlesny’s agent announced the news on Twitter Saturday.

Podlesny’s Georgia career began as a walk-on in 2018. For the last 3 seasons, he was UGA’s starting kicker.

Podlesny won the starting job in 2020 as a walk-on. He finished the COVID-shortened season 13-of-16 on field goals and 38-for-38 on PATs. In 2021, Podlesny made 22-of-27 field goal attempts, including a 49-yarder in the College Football Playoff national championship win over Alabama.

This past season, Podlesny earned All-SEC First Team recognition from the Associated Press and conference coaches. He was 26-of-29 on field goal attempts and made 73-of-74 PATs. Podlesny had 84 of his 109 kickoffs result in a touchback or fair catch.

Podlesny’s career-long is a 53-yard field goal that came against Cincinnati in the Peach Bowl.
