Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss brought in a familiar face as a transfer Tuesday, landing a commitment from former FAU safety Teja Young.

Young has been in college football since 2018, first recruited by Kiffin while he was head coach at FAU. he played sparingly under Kiffin, but became a solid player his last few seasons with the Owls.

Across his time at FAU, Young recorded 159 total tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 7 interceptions including 4 touchdowns. He served as the team’s co-captain last season.

Young was a 3-star prospect in the Class of 2018 when Kiffin recruited him to FAU. He held only 3 Power 5 offers from Illinois, Syracuse and Pitt.

2023 will be his final season of eligibility barring injury.
