Florida is adding a new name to its 2023 roster. On Saturday, the Gators landed a commitment from JUCO EDGE transfer Quincy Ivory out of East Los Angeles College.

Ivory, originally from Texas, announced his pledge to UF on Twitter. He’s set to be a summer enrollee in Gainesville upon receiving his AA degree. Ivory tweeted the following:

“First and foremost, I want to thank god for putting me in a position to play at the next level … again. I want to thank my family for always supporting me no matter the circumstances. I want to give a special shoutout to my brothers and coaches at ELAC for holding me to a higher standard and continuing to push me everyday. There is so many more people I wish I had time to thank but the real ones know who they are. Never in a million years would I have guessed this was my journey. My story is untold, unheard but still being written. I want to thank Coach Napier, Coach Armstrong, Coach Peterson, Joe Hamilton and Jacob Lafrance for showing me why Gainesville, Florida is where I need to be. With that being said Gator Country, lets make history!!”

Ivory played quarterback and defense for the ELAC Huskies last season. On defense, he recorded 22 tackles, including 14 solo stops, 12.5 for loss and 8.5 sacks in 10 games.

Ivory also had scholarship offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Fresno State, San Jose State and others. At this time, Ivory does not have a star rating on 247Sports, Rivals or On3.
