Fans hilariously roast Big 12 as Texas, Oklahoma are only ranked teams after Week 3

The Big 12 certainly didn’t plan to have Texas and Oklahoma as its lone ranked teams after Week 3 of the college football season. But that’s exactly what happened when the latest AP Top 25 poll was released on Sunday.
Texas was in a tight battle with Wyoming in Austin but eventually pulled away in the 4th quarter to turn a 10-10 game into a 31-10 blowout, rising to No. 3. Oklahoma had considerably less trouble at Tulsa, riding a 28-point 1st quarter to a 66-17 rout to move up to No. 16.

Meanwhile, Kansas State, who entered the weekend at No. 15, is now out of the top 25. Missouri topped the Wildcats behind a last-second 61-yard field goal.
Of course, there’s plenty of irony in Texas and Oklahoma being the Big 12’s only ranked teams: both programs will be in the SEC in 2024. The post the conference put out on X highlighting Texas and Oklahoma resulted in plenty of social media reaction from all corners:
