John Tomlin spent two years as a football coach at the University of Arkansas from 1942-1943. He coached the Razorbacks’ freshman team in 1942 and coached the varsity team in 1943, amassing a 2-7 record including a 1-4 mark in Southwestern Conference play.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
