Chester S. Barnard was a college football coach for 18 seasons from 1924-1941, spending his final 17 seasons at Kalamazoo College after one year at Ole Miss in 1924. The Rebels were 4-5 during the 1924 season under Barnard’s leadership, including 0-2 in conference play. Barnard retired from coaching with a 67-59-17 career record. He passed away in 1952 at the age of 57.
