Mike Collins coached the LSU linebackers in 2004.
In addition to serving as the interim coach at Louisiana-Monroe in 2002, Collins has coached for Sam Houston State, McNeese State, Northwestern State and Northeast Louisiana.
An itinerant journalist, Christopher has moved between states 11 times in seven years. Formally an injury-prone Division I 800-meter specialist, he now wanders the Rockies in search of high peaks.
