Raymond Wolf worked as the head coach of the Florida Gators for four seasons following World War II from 1946-1949, failing to record a winning season while coaching at UF. He failed to win a single game in his first season in 1946, leading the Gators to an 0-9 record. His best season came in 1948 when he led Florida to an even 5-5 record and a 10th-place finish in the SEC. Overall he was 13-24-2 as coach of the Gators and just 2-17-2 against SEC opponents. He also served as Florida’s athletic director while coaching the Gators but was fired from both positions following the 1949 season. Wolf passed away in 1979 at the age of 75.
