Here are the can’t miss games of Week 10 in the SEC:

NO. 3 AUBURN AT NO. 4 OLE MISS (SATURDAY ON ESPN — 7 P.M.)

This matchup is by far the best and most important matchup on the SEC slate this week. It is the best because it features two teams ranked in the top 10 of the national polls, and two teams slotted as playoff teams in the first ever College Football Playoff Top 25 earlier this week. It’s the most important because the loser of this game will drop to two losses on the season and will promptly fall out of playoff contention as far as the CFP Selection Committee is concerned. Auburn is coming off a thrilling 42-35 win over South Carolina at home, but it’ll need to play better against a much tougher opponent on the road than it did against the unranked Gamecocks at home. Ole Miss enters the game one week removed from its first loss of 2014, a gut-wrenching defeat at the hands of the LSU Tigers. Neither team has any margin for error, but both are loaded with talent. If you’re an SEC football fan, you cannot miss this game Saturday night.

NO. 11 GEORGIA VS FLORIDA (SATURDAY ON CBS — 3:30 P.M. — FROM JACKSONVILLE)

The Gators and Dawgs share one of the great rivalries of the SEC, and although these two teams are not as evenly matched as they have been in the past, it’s a safe bet we’re in for another treat at the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” in Jacksonville. Even if the game is so-so, the pageantry and history that accompany this game each year are enough to warrant tuning in for at least a quarter. And who knows, maybe Florida, coming off a bye, will rally under coach Will Muschamp and stun the Bulldogs, ending their hopes of a playoff berth. That scenario is unlikely, and Gators fans might find it counter-productive in the long-run as they clamor for Muschamp’s departure. Nevertheless, there are enough storylines and history surrounding this game to make it worth the watch.

KENTUCKY AT MISSOURI (SATURDAY ON SEC NETWORK — 4 P.M.)

On a weekend featuring just one SEC matchup between two ranked teams (we already talked about it), this game between the Wildcats and the Tigers is among the more interesting on the slate. Neither team is ranked, but both teams are still in the hunt in the SEC East, adding plenty of meaning to this one. Georgia would have to lose before the end of the year to open the door for either team, but whoever wins this game will at least have a great chance at finishing second in the division. The Tigers are the defending division champs but have been atrocious on offense this season. The Wildcats are one of the surprise teams of the SEC, but they remain one win shy of bowl eligibility as they learn what it means to be an SEC team facing real expectations. It’s not the sexiest matchup of the weekend, but it is among the most fascinating on the SEC schedule, so it’s worth a few minutes of your time if the Cocktail Party turns out to be a blowout in the second half.
