TNT studio analyst Charles Barkley isn’t a fan of this year’s inaugural College Football Playoffs.

In a recent interview with NBA.com, the Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on the current state of college football and admitted he favors the SEC thanks to his allegiance to Auburn:

“I think the football playoffs is an awful idea to be honest with you. I know the 15 people want to do the best they can, but it’s almost impossible. Obviously, I’m biased because of the SEC. The SEC West is ridiculous. Losing one or two games shouldn’t eliminate you from the Playoff. They should expand the Playoffs to eight teams. That would be the best way to do it.”

Barkley’s defending SEC champion Tigers played well offensively but came out on the losing end of this year’s Iron Bowl. Last season, Barkley was a guest on College GameDay prior to Auburn’s ‘Kick-Six’ victory over the Crimson Tide at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Wonder who he’s rooting for Saturday afternoon?

Barkley’s already thrown one jab in Alabama’s direction this week:
