4-star 2023 safety backs off Alabama pledge, plans to visit other schools

Alabama is off to a bit of a slow start in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Currently, the Tide have only 4 players in their class, and that class ranks No. 29 in the 247Sports composite rankings.
That’s not a cause for concern, as the Tide figure to be in the top 3 before all is said and done, but on Thursday, they got some potentially bad news.
As you can see below, 4-star 2023 S Elliot Washington II didn’t formally decommit, but he took to Twitter to say he was going to visit more schools before making a final decision:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Washington is the No. 8 safety in the class of 2023 and the No. 25 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
On his 247Sports page, there are 4 Crystal Ball projections for Washington to end up at Michigan State under coach Mel Tucker.
