In Saturday’s first SEC Tournament semifinal game, both teams will be dealing with absences.

Alabama has announced that SEC All-Freshman guard Josh Primo will not play against Tennessee due to a left MCL sprain.

Primo suffered the injury during the second of UA’s 85-48 win over 9-seed Mississippi State on Friday.

Primo is fifth on the team in scoring, averaging 8.1 points per game. He is also fifth on the team in minutes (22.6 per game) and tied for fourth in starts with 19.

Primo arrived at the arena sporting a brace on his knee and using a crutch. Top-seed Alabama faces 4-seed Tennessee at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT.
