Alabama football scored a commitment from a Class of 2024 target out of Florida Saturday morning, seeing Joseph Ionata commit to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
Ionata, a 3-star with impressive offers out of Clearwater, Florida, is set to enter his senior year at Calvary Christian. He chose the Tide over Florida, Miami, West Virginia and Ole Miss, to name a few.
Ionata represents Alabama’s 8th commitment of the 2024 class so far.

His father, Joey, was an all-American OL at Florida State in the 80s. Joseph, who stands at 6-4, 280 pounds, starts at left tackle starting his sophomore season, but has moved all across the offense line.
He’s rated as the No. 977 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 70 IOL and the No. 130 player out of the Sunshine State.
