Alabama’s Will Reichard is being recognized nationally for his impressive start to the 2023 season.
On Tuesday, the Lou Groza Award named Reichard one of its “Stars of the Week” for Week 5. Reichard was honored alongside John Hoyland (Wyoming) and Drew Stevens (Iowa).
Reichard is the only kicker with double-digit field goal attempts who has yet to miss this season. He made 4 field goals in the Crimson Tide’s 40-17 win on the road at Mississippi State in Week 5, bringing his season mark to 11-of-11.
Against MSU, Reichard was successful from 48 yards out twice, also making his attempts from 34 and 38. He also made 4 PATs, bringing his total to 16 points, leading all kickers in Week 5.
A graduate senior from Hoover, Alabama, Recihard was a finalist for the Groza Award in 2020. Reichard’s career total sits at 474 points, placing him in the top five among FBS kickers all-time.
Reichard the Crimson Tide head to Texas A&M in Week 6 for a showdown with the Aggies. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
