Bill O’Brien has plenty of experience as a head coach, both at the college and NFL levels.
The current Alabama offensive coordinator has been the head coach at Penn State and for the Houston Texans, and now he could be eyeing a potential return to the pro ranks.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, O’Brien is expected to interview for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coaching job on Thursday:
Alabama OC Bill O'Brien is scheduled to interview today for Jaguars HC job.
Jaguars scheduled to interview Packers OC Nathaniel Hackett for HC Friday, and Colts DC Matt Eberflus Saturday.
Already interviewed Jim Caldwell, Doug Pederson, Todd Bowles, Byron Leftwich, Kellen Moore

O’Brien has also reportedly drawn interest from the Carolina Panthers as a potential offensive coordinator candidate, but it’s probably fair to say O’Brien’s first choice would be a head coaching gig.
Per Schefter’s tweet, the Jaguars have also interviewed a number of other candidates, so it’s far from a sure thing O’Brien lands the job. We’ll see what the future holds for the Alabama coordinator.
