Date set for Alabama 2024 home game vs. Georgia, per report

Alabama and Georgia will face each other in Saturday’s SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.
We now may know the date of their rematch in 2024.
In June, the SEC revealed that in 2024, the Crimson Tide will host the Bulldogs in their 1st regular-season meeting since 2020. Per ESPN’s Chris Low, the date has been set: Sept. 28.
Alabama and Georgia’s previous regular-season contest in 2020 went the way of the Tide as they won 41-24 in Tuscaloosa. Alabama won the next meeting between the 2 teams, a 41-24 triumph in the 2021 SEC Championship Game. But the Bulldogs turned the tables in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game over a month later, winning 33-18 for the program’s 1st title since 1980.
Per Low, the full SEC slate will be unveiled in December. Not only will it be the 1st with new members Oklahoma and Texas, but it will be the conference’s 1st year without divisions. Teams will still play 8 conference games, though.
