Former Alabama DL Courtney Upshaw was a star during his time with the Crimson Tide, winning 2 national championships and an SEC title.
He then went to the NFL as a second-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 2012 and won a Super Bowl with that team.
Now, he’s been out of the league for a couple of years and has decided to get his coaching career started. As you can see below, Upshaw has joined the UAB football program as a volunteer coach:

Considering his resume, Upshaw will be a great person to work with the Blazers’ defensive line unit.
During his time at Alabama, Upshaw recorded 17.5 sacks, 141 total tackles, 36.5 tackles for a loss, 6 forced fumbles and an interception, which he returned for a touchdown.
