Jalen Hurts has passed an NFL record that was set by a fellow SEC quarterback. The former Alabama QB has the most rushing touchdowns through a quarterback’s first 50 games in NFL history, passing Cam Newton.

Hurts got his 29th rushing TD in just his 48th game Monday.

Hurts collected his 29th career rushing TD against the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. The score was Hurts’ 3rd rushing TD of the season.

Hurts starred for the Crimson Tide from 2016-2018 and won the national championship in 2017. He found the end zone with his legs 23 times at Alabama.

Hurts transferred to Oklahoma for the 2019 season and had his best rushing season yet. The QB collected 20 rushing TDs in his final college season before drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2nd round of the 202o NFL Draft.

Since being named the starter in Philly, Hurts has been one of the most exciting young QBs in the NFL. He’s struggled more this season after an excellent campaign in 2022, but he’s still among the best in the league.
