Jalen Milroe sets unfortunate mark in 1st half of Alabama's game vs. Arkansas
Jalen Milroe had plenty of high moments during the 1st half of Alabama’s home contest against Arkansas.
It hasn’t all been good, though.
The Crimson Tide held a 21-6 halftime lead thanks to a 1st half that saw Milroe complete 7 of his 10 passes for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 79-yard strike to Kobe Prentice. He also has a touchdown on the ground thanks to a “Tush Push” near the goal line.
However, Alabama’s offensive line hasn’t held up its end of the bargain throughout the game. In the opening 2 quarters, Milroe was sacked 4 times, the 5th game in a row where Alabama has yielded 4 or more — including 6 in Week 6 against Texas A&M.
According to ESPN’s Stats and Info department, that’s tied for the most games in a row where a quarterback has been sacked 4 or more times at the FBS level over a span of 20 seasons:
Jalen Milroe has been sacked 4 times entering halftime. Per @ESPNStatsInfo … It's the 5th consecutive game he's been sacked 4+ times. That ties the longest streak by a QB in FBS in the past 20 seasons. https://t.co/GIVXLSE0lM

Despite struggling to get protection consistently, Milroe has looked terrific against Arkansas as the Crimson Tide are looking to go 6-1 on the season and remain in the drivers’ seat for an SEC West title.
