Former Mississippi State QB Logan Burnett joins Nick Saban’s Alabama program

Following the offseason departure of both Tua Tagovailoa (who left school early for the 2020 NFL Draft) and his younger brother Taulia (who left the program via transfer to Maryland), Alabama suddenly found itself with a quarterback room with plenty of talent but lacking depth.
Most college football programs around the nation would trade their QB room in exchange for Mac Jones, Bryce Young and Paul Tyson and that doesn’t mean the Crimson Tide were content with just those signal-callers on the roster.
That’s where former Mississippi State walk-on quarterback Logan Burnett comes in.
The former Bulldog and Alabama native served as scout team quarterback for Mississippi State in recent seasons and after deciding to leave Starkville this offseason after earning his undergraduate degree from the school, the quarterback has decided to transfer to Nick Saban’s program for the 2020 season.
Burnett is eligible immediately in Tuscaloosa as he is a graduate transfer.
Burnett has seen the field for Mississippi State on several occasions and, if not nothing else, provides Alabama with a nice emergency option to put on the field if disaster strikes and the Crimson Tide need to put the fourth signal-caller on the field at some point next season.
One thing is for sure, you can never have too many quarterbacks on the roster.
