Mac Jones or Tua Tagovailoa? Jaylen Waddle gives the same answer as DeVonta Smith

Who would have guessed that Mac Jones was so popular at this time last year?
Tua Tagovailoa may be responsible for arguably the greatest play in program history but when it comes to popularity among Alabama’s current crop of receivers set to move on to the NFL, Jones is the easy choice.
If you missed it a few weeks ago, Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported that DeVonta Smith was asked during the 2021 Senior Bowl which Alabama signal-caller he preferred, Tagovailoa or Jones. Without hesitation, Smith answered Jones.
During a recent appearance on the NFL Network, Jaylen Waddle was asked the same question and gave the same response.
“I like Mac Jones, too. I like Mac Jones. Just my preference, both great quarterbacks but I love Mac,” Waddle answered in the clip below. “He was the guy I came in with from Day One. We were on the third team together and worked our way up.”
