Kenyan Drake finds new NFL home, will team up with another former Alabama running back
Kenyan Drake and Josh Jacobs were never on the same team at Alabama but they will now be in the NFL.
That’s because Drake has just agreed to a two-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Drake’s deal is worth $11 million guaranteed and up to $14.5 million with incentives.
Drake’s addition gives the Raiders one of the more versatile running back tandem’s in the NFL as the free agent brings 3,130 rushing yards, 27 rushing touchdowns, 169 catches, 1,244 receiving yards, six receiving touchdowns and 772 return yards and a return touchdown’s worth of pro experience to Las Vegas.
Combine that level of production with Jacobs, who may be one to the top five running backs in the game right now, and the Raiders have plenty of firepower to work with in the backfield in 2021.
