Report: Alabama freshman DL LaBryan Ray suffers broken foot at practice

Alabama’s defense has been decimated by injuries this year, particularly in the linebacking corps.
However, on Thursday during practice, the Crimson Tide reportedly lost another player to a serious injury, this time on the defensive line.
According to 247Sports, freshman DL LaBryan Ray broke a bone in his foot and may miss some time as he recovers after having surgery on Friday morning.
Ray will join an injury list that already includes LBs Christian Miller, Terrell Lewis, Shaun Dion Hamilton and Mack Wilson.
How long he’ll miss after surgery remains to be seen, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him miss the final two games of the regular season.
In six games this year, Ray recorded five tackles (2.5 of which were for a loss) and one sack.
