It has been a tough day for the Houston Texans’ secondary. First, former LSU S Tyrann Mathieu left for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now, they’re losing former Alabama CB Kareem Jackson, per a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

As you can see below, Jackson is expected to sign with the Denver Broncos on a big 3-year, $33 million deal:

Jackson was a first-round pick back in 2010 and has spent all eight of his NFL seasons with the Texans, recording a team-record 16 interceptions during that time (tied with Johnathan Joseph).

Now, he’ll be tasked with helping a rebuilding (but still talented) Broncos defense. Leaving Houston won’t be easy, but for a contract like that, he has to go.
