Tua Tagovailoa is an early betting favorite for NFL MVP and his Miami Dolphins are one of 3 remaining undefeated teams in the league.
Heading into an AFC East showdown against the host Buffalo Bills, Tagovailoa has passed for 1,024 yards, 8 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and a league-best 82.9 QBR. Tagovailoa and the high-powered Dolphins overwhelmingly defeated the Denver Broncos by an eye-popping 70-20 margin in Week 3.
This comes on the heels of the former standout Alabama quarterback battling through concussions and injuries to his back, ribs, and fingers since being drafted in 2020. Then in the offseason, analyst Ryan Clark made distasteful comments about Tagovailoa’s bulked up frame, which he backtracked on after the quarterback blasted him for it.
So needless to say, Tagovailoa is inspired to get the last laugh and propel the Dolphins to its first postseason victory since 2000, first trip to the Super Bowl since 1985, and first Super Bowl title since 1974.
When asked by a reporter when was the last time he had this much fun on a football field, Tagovailoa reminisced on his time with the Crimson Tide.

Tagovailoa supplanted Jalen Hurts in Alabama’s national title victory vs. Georgia in 2017 and was a consensus All-American the next season.
“It was probably in college,” Tagovailoa said. “It’s hard in the league to do good things because guys on the other side are really good as well. They study and they’re really good. It’s been a lot of fun. That’s for sure, this year.”
There’s going to be stiff competition within the AFC from the likes of the Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, and others. However, if Tagovailoa can remain healthy, there’s a strong likelihood that the Dolphins are capable of making a deep run.
And if the Dolphins end up meeting the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, the battle between Hurts and Tagovailoa would be an infomercial for Nick Saban.
