WATCH: Amari Cooper embarrasses Lions’ DB, makes one-handed TD catch

Lions CB DeShawn Shead will have nightmares over this one, and thankfully for him, it’s just preseason practice. It’s also further proof that covering Amari Cooper one-on-one is close to impossible.
The Raiders and Lions scrimmaged this week, and what Cooper did to Shead is borderline criminal. Jon Gruden must be licking his chops at how to use Cooper in his offense.
As you can see below, Shead kept up with Cooper pretty well until the final break, when Cooper planted and Shead, well, face-planted. Cooper got open for a one-handed TD catch.

Over his first two NFL seasons, Cooper posted 72 catches and 83 catches consecutively, but his production drastically decreased in 2017. Cooper caught just 48 passes for 680 yards and seven TDs; so, he’s looking to get healthy and have a big rebound.
Cooper is one of the centerpieces of the Raiders’ offense, and he’ll likely get the football early and often under Gruden.
