Will Anderson Jr.’s mother reveals what played a ‘significant’ part in choosing Alabama

Will Anderson Jr. returns for the 2022 season at Alabama as perhaps the best defensive player in all of college football.
The talented edge rusher was dominant in 2021, recording 101 total tackles (31 for a loss) and 17.5 sacks. Many felt he should have earned a spot at the Heisman Trophy ceremony (an award which was won by his teammate, Bryce Young).
So, what led Anderson, a Georgia native, to choose Alabama? In response to a tweet praising Alabama’s recruiting staff, Anderson’s mother, Tereon, said that the hard work by Alabama’s recruiting staff played a big part in their decision:
Definitely a significant part of why we choose Bama. Our parent liaison is top notch.

Clearly, Alabama’s recruiting staff is still doing great work, as the Tide have recently surged to the No. 1 spot in the 2023 recruiting rankings.
We’ll see if the next Will Anderson is among that group.
