What is going on in Starkville?
Arkansas baseball is visiting Mississippi State this week and came away with a series-opening win, 6-2 Friday evening. Following the game, a scene from “Cops” played out.
According to Mississippi State reporter Stefan Krajisnik, a man in a red car was chased by police all the way to the entrance of Dudy Noble Field, where he was eventually arrested. Some shots of the action can be found below:

In the chaos, an ambulance reportedly smashed into the side of Arkansas’ team bus, shattering one of the windows. Arkansas’ official account released the aftermath soon after:

That has to be some sort of metaphor, right?
Arkansas baseball, despite a nice win Friday, has kind of faltered as of late. The Razorbacks swept Tennessee in mid-April, but have since dropped midweek games to Lipscomb and Missouri State. They were also swept by a mediocre Georgia squad directly following their series win over the Volunteers.
A win over the Bulldogs is a nice way to right the ship though. The Razorbacks will look to win the series on Saturday, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. CT in Starkville on ESPN2.
