Former Arkansas DL Armon Watts signing with new NFL team

Former Arkansas DL Armon Watts has found a new home.

After playing for the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears in his first 4 professional seasons, Watts will sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Watts’ agent shared the news on Twitter.

Watts played at Arkansas from 2015-to-2018. After his Razorback career, Watts was selected in the 6th round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.

Watts spent 3 seasons with the Vikings. He played in 40 games, making 10 starts. He was waived by Minnesota during final roster cuts ahead of the 2022 season and claimed by Chicago. With the Bears, Watts played in 17 games, including 12 starts.

In his NFL career, Watts has recorded 125 tackles, including 57 solo stops and 7 TFLs. He has also logged 15 QB hits, 3 forced fumbles and a pass breakup.
