O’Mega Blake will be continuing his collegiate career at Arkansas, he announced on Tuesday morning.
The former Charlotte receiver was one of the top uncommitted players at that position in this year’s transfer portal. He garnered interest from a number of other top programs, including Florida State.
Here’s his commitment announcement:
Blake began his career at South Carolina, so this will not be his first time in the SEC. He spent the first 3 years of his collegiate career with the Gamecocks before moving on to Charlotte last season.
He enjoyed a breakout season with the 49ers in 2024. He caught 32 passes for 795 yards and 9 touchdowns. He averaged nearly 25 yards per reception, which ranked No. 1 nationally amongst players with at least 30 catches this season. His mark of 24.84 yards per catch is more than any other receiver (min. 30 catches) over the past 5 seasons.
He’ll join an Arkansas offense that was highly-potent at times in 2024. Taylen Green is expected to return next season after averaging a solid 7.8 yards per attempt for the Razorbacks in 2024.
Sam Pittman and his staff have been aggressive in the portal since it officially opened earlier this month. Blake is the 15th transfer to commit to Arkansas so far this offseason.
