In 2019, the Arkansas Razorbacks will open the season against FCS opponent Portland State. In 2023, they’ll open the season against a different FCS foe.

Per a report from WholeHogSports.com, the Razorbacks have signed a contract with a team from North Carolina for Week 1 of the 2023 campaign.

Per the report, the Hogs will kick off that season against the Western Carolina Catamounts on Sept. 2:

The University of Arkansas will open the 2023 season on Sept. 2 with a home game against Western Carolina at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The Razorbacks also have a home game against BYU scheduled for 2023. That leaves two non-conference spots for the Hogs to fill.
