If it seems like Auburn has had a “Carlson” kicking field goals for it forever, well, it’s because it has.
And, that streak will continue, according to news that broke on Wednesday night out of Auburn.
As you can see below, Anders Carlson, younger brother of former Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson, will return to The Plains in 2022:
It appears Auburn will have a Carlson kicking field goals for a ninth straight year
Anders Carlson says he is returning to Auburn for a second senior year after a knee injury disrupted his 2021 season. He’s made 67 Auburn field goals. His brother, Daniel, kicked 92 from 2014-17. pic.twitter.com/JPpPjr9Nvx

That marks 9 years in a row a Carlson will be handling the kicking duties at Auburn.
In 2021, Anders made 14 of 21 field goals and 35 of 36 extra points while appearing in 10 games. Injuries hampered him a bit in 2021. Hopefully, he’ll be able to stay healthy for his final season.
