The final College Football Playoff rankings were released on Sunday afternoon.

One week after its regular season finale, Auburn held serve at No. 19 at the final installment of the College Football Playoff Top 25.

The Tigers’ stay in the inaugural College Football Playoff rankings has been tenuous, at best. Gus Malzahn’s team rose as high as No. 3 in the early editions of the rankings, however, a couple late losses sent Auburn into a free fall to as low as No. 20. Auburn has been out of contention for a New Year’s Six bowl since mid-November.

Auburn (8-4, 4-4 SEC) awaits its bowl destination, which is set to be announced Sunday night.
