Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson provides update on his injured hamstring

Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson has burst onto the scene this year, scoring a whopping 12 touchdowns through only four games (including 11 over three SEC games).
However, the talented back also missed two games with a hamstring injury earlier this year and hasn’t been at 100 percent yet.
Fortunately for coach Gus Malzahn and his staff, Johnson told Brandon Marcello of 247Sports that he’s feeling good and anticipates being at 100 percent against LSU this weekend:
“I think I’ll be 100 percent [against LSU],” Johnson said. “I think I’ll be fully back to normal. I did some things [against Ole Miss] that gives myself some confidence in my hamstring in terms of making people miss, making cuts, getting up to a faster speed. I think I’ll be back to 100 percent.”
That’s good news for the Tigers, as a road game at Death Valley is no easy task, even with the recent struggles LSU has had on both sides of the ball.
Johnson will need to carry the ball a lot if Auburn is going to improve to 4-0 in conference play, and it seems he’ll be healthy enough to do just that on Saturday afternoon.
This weekend’s game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Central time and can be seen on CBS.
