McDonald spent 2 seasons as a part of the Cyclones’ program. He was a regular contributor during the 2021 season. McDonald posted 41 tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss and 2 interceptions last season.
Last season, Auburn had just 2 defenders record multiple picks. One of those players was Roger McCreary who was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the 2nd round of this year’s NFL Draft.
McDonald joins an Auburn defense that gave up 21.8 points per game in 2021, a mark that ranked 27th in the nation. Hopefully he is able to find a role and contribute for the Tigers during Bryan Harsin’s second season leading the program.
