Jarrett Stidham, former Auburn QB, reportedly signs with new NFL team

Jarrett Stidham is signing a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos, according to a report.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was 1st to report that news on Monday afternoon. Stidham spent the 1st 4 years of his NFL career with the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders.

His new deal with Denver is for 2 years and $10 million. The deal includes $5 million in guaranteed money, per Rapoport:

Stidham was a 4th round pick by the Patriots in the 2019 NFL Draft. He’s served mostly as a backup quarterback in the NFL, but he did start 2 games in 2022.

With Denver, Stidham is expected to back-up starting quarterback Russell Wilson. He has thrown for 926 yards and 6 touchdowns so far in his NFL career. He’ll also be playing under new Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb, who is a longtime friend according to Rapoport.

While at Auburn, Stidham produced 2 quality seasons for the Tigers. He completed 63.6% of his passes for 5,952 yards, 36 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions from 2017-18.
