TJ Finley is with the Auburn team, and plans to be in the near future, coach Bryan Harsin said Thursday following reports of the quarterback’s arrest.

“He was here. He’ll be here tonight, he’ll practice tomorrow. We’re aware of what’s going on,” Harsin told reporters.

Earlier Thursday, Finley’s attorney, Davis Whittelsey, said the arrest was a result of traffic violations and a misunderstanding. The issue is being handled, and Whittelsey added, “As soon as T.J. learned of the charges, he turned himself in and has been released on a bond he signed himself. His first day of football camp with Auburn University has been a success.”

An earlier report suggested that Finley was back on campus and with teammates at Auburn. Finley reportedly did not wear a helmet while riding a moped. The original report suggested that Finley was charged with an “attempt to elude” police. He reportedly went with his lawyer to police on Thursday to take care of outstanding tickets, and was not custody.

It appears Auburn is ready to move on from this situation.
