WATCH: Auburn marks start of 2019 season with powerful video

Being named Auburn’s starting quarterback was an unforgettable moment for Bo Nix.

“Well, obviously, it’s a dream come true,” Nix told reporters hours after the news broke. “I have always wanted to play quarterback at Auburn. It’s a goal of mine that I have had for a long, long time, as far as I can remember.

“All the way back to throwing the football in the backyard with my dad, I wanted to play quarterback at Auburn so it was just an awesome moment. You honestly couldn’t write it any better.”

Nix’s story, growing up watching his father play QB for the Tigers, appears to have inspired AU’s new video “welcoming” the 2019 campaign.

The video moves between footage of young boys playing football to Auburn football highlights, including the BCS championship win over Oregon. A future Tigers quarterback may be watching Nix face the Ducks tomorrow.

The clip also features Andy Burcham, the new voice of the Tigers.

Saturday’s kickoff is sure to bring out the kid in Auburn fans everywhere.
