Dabo Swinney is feeling the heat after Clemson’s 31-14 loss to Tennessee in the Orange Bowl on Friday evening at Hard Rock Stadium.

Part of the story for the Tigers was their inability to cash in despite having the lion’s share of possession and an overwhelmingly larger number of plays as opposed to the Volunteers. While the Vols have had the propensity to score quickly under Josh Heupel, the Tigers still weren’t able to do much with their opportunities.

Cade Klubnik was 30-of-54 for 320 yards, including 2 4th-quarter interceptions, and was sacked 4 times — twice by Aaron Beasley, who had a game-high 11 tackles and 4 TFLs. While the true freshman certainly showed his youth at various points during the game, he wasn’t helped by his offensive line.

As for Clemson’s running game, Will Shipley received 17 carries and totaled 72 yards, but both Swinney and offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter were slammed for not turning to him more often.

On top of that, the Tigers’ defense had few answers for Squirrel White as the true freshman had 9 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown.

Clemson’s performance garnered plenty of social media reaction:
