Glen Rose played three sports in the 1920’s at the University of Arkansas and returned to Fayetteville to coach the Razorbacks in football and basketball during the 1930’s and 40’s. He spent most of his career coaching basketball, but coached the Arkansas football team for two seasons in 1944 and 1945, compiling and 8-12-1 record. Rose passed away in 1994 at the age of 89.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
