Hugo Bezdek coached college football, basketball and baseball in parts of four different decades between 1906 and 1949. He coached the University of Arkansas football team from 1908-1912 going 29-13-1 in five seasons as coach of the Razorbacks. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1954. Bezdek passed away in 1952 at the age of 68.
A former newspaper reporter who has roamed the southeastern United States for years covering football and eating way too many barbecue ribs, if there is such a thing.
