Reggie Herring has spent more than 30 years as an assistant coach or coordinator at both the college and pro levels, and has one game of head coaching experience at the University of Arkansas. Herring coached the then-No. 24 Razorbacks in the 2007 Cotton Bowl after former Hogs’ coach Houston Nutt left to become the new coach at Ole Miss. Arkansas lost that game 38-7 to No. 7 Missouri and Herring moved on to become a linebackers coach in the NFL beginning in 2008.
Herring worked as Nutt’s defensive coordinator at Arkansas from 2005-2007 and had previous experience in the SEC as the linebackers coach for the Auburn Tigers from 1986-1991.
