Stanley L. Robinson coached college football off-and-on from 1915-1953, primarily at Mississippi College. He spent three seasons as the head coach at Mississippi A&M (a.k.a. Mississippi State) from 1917-1919, posting three straight winning seasons in that time. His 1917 team ended the year with an impressive 7-1 record and his 1919 team was nearly as good at 6-2. Robinson left Starkville to take over the Mississippi College program following the 1919 season. He was a combined 16-5 in three seasons with the Bulldogs, and he also coached Mississippi A&M’s 1918 baseball team to an 11-7 record. Robinson passed away in 1967 at the age of 76.
