Tony Franklin spent 1997-2000 as the running backs coach and then offensive coordinator at Kentucky and offensive coordinator at Auburn in 2008.
He has served as an offensive coordinator for Troy, Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech and Cal as well.
The Tony Franklin System Seminar, a copyrighted offensive system used by hundreds of high schools and colleges across the country, also netted him six figures per year, but he had to relinquish the name rights in 2008 due to an SEC rule.
An itinerant journalist, Christopher has moved between states 11 times in seven years. Formally an injury-prone Division I 800-meter specialist, he now wanders the Rockies in search of high peaks.
