5 SEC stars expected to go in Round 1 in latest CBS Sports 2022 NBA Mock Draft

The 2022 NBA Draft is exactly a week away, as it will be held on Thursday, June 23, in Brooklyn.

Now, analysts are putting together their final predictions for what will happen in Round 1. This week, CBS Sports expert Kyle Boone projected all 30 first-round picks, and he expects 5 SEC stars to hear their names called in the opening round.

As you can see below, he has Auburn’s Jabari Smith Jr. leading the way as the No. 1 overall pick, going to the Orlando Magic:

• No. 10 — Shaedon Sharpe, G, Kentucky — Washington Wizards
• No. 11 — TyTy Washington, G, Kentucky — New York Knicks
• No. 15 — Tari Eason, F, LSU — Charlotte Hornets
• No. 27 — Jaylin Williams, F, Arkansas — Miami Heat
