The Big East Tournament provided one of the best — and most controversial — finishes of hoops action Wednesday night.

The game came in the matchup between 10-seed DePaul and 7-seed Seton Hall. With 3.9 seconds remaining, Seton Hall had one shot to win trailing 66-65.

Seton Hall was able to get the ball down the court and just barely got a shot off ahead of the buzzer. That shot was swatted away and initially called for goaltending at the horn, giving Seton Hall a 67-66 win at the buzzer.

After the play went to review, the goaltending was officially overturned with DePaul’s Nick OnGenda credited with a clean block and the 66-65 win.

“I know it was a block, I knew it,” said Ongenda after the game. “They’re great players, they get to the hoop, but that’s what I do. I block everything, you know what I mean? That’s my specialty.”

March Madness is no stranger to crazy finishes, and some of the best always happen in conference tournament action. We’ll see if anything can top that wild finish Wednesday night.
