ESPN’s Joe Lunardi updated his 2022 NCAA Tournament Bracketology on Friday. Heading into the Saturday slate of SEC basketball, 6 conference teams would make the Big Dance.

Here’s how Lunardi currently seeds the 6 SEC squads:

  • Auburn (No. 1 overall seed, Midwest)
  • Kentucky (No. 2 seed, South)
  • Alabama (No. 5 seed, East)
  • LSU (No. 6 seed, Midwest)
  • Tennessee (No. 6 seed, West)
  • Arkansas (No. 8 seed, South)

Two other SEC teams, however, are on the outside looking in. Lunardi has Florida as the first team out of the field of 68. Mississippi State follows UF on the “first four out” list.

In a Friday “Bracket Math” tweet, Lunardi highlighted Arkansas as a “rising” team, while Florida is on the “falling” list.

The SEC Tournament is still over a month away (March 9-13). Auburn will look to hold onto No. 1 overall while everyone else hopes to boost its March Madness resume.
